Help us deliver a better tomorrow

Australia Post is delivering for all Australians. From the vehicles that we drive, to the small businesses that make our communities thrive. We’re delivering for the environment, for our communities, for our customers and for our people. We’re moving forward and we want you to come along for the ride.

About the opportunity

As Head of People Systems, you’ll lead the transformation of our people technology landscape to support the current and future strategic needs of the People & Culture function. Your focus will be on simplifying systems, enhancing the employee and leader experience, and building scalable solutions that enable smarter, more effective ways of working across the organisation.

What you’ll deliver with us

You’ll be accountable for designing and implementing HR technologies that are fit for purpose and deliver measurable value. By aligning people systems to strategic goals, you’ll help create capacity within teams, improve operational effectiveness, and ensure a seamless user experience.

You’ll also

  • Design and deliver a future-ready, cost-effective HR technology platform aligned to strategic business needs.
  • Drive simplification and innovation across systems and processes to enhance user experience and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define system roadmaps, success measures, and future business requirements.
  • Manage vendor relationships and evaluate technology investments to ensure return on investment and sustainable delivery models.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, safety, and continuous improvement.

About you

You’re a strategic and commercially minded leader with deep expertise in people technologies and a strong track record of driving transformation in complex organisations. With a passion for simplification and innovation, you bring a collaborative mindset and the ability to influence at the highest levels. Your experience spans both the technical and human aspects of change, and you're driven by creating value through smarter systems, better governance, and enhanced user experiences.

You’ll also need

  • Extensive leadership experience in People Technology within large, complex organisations, with a strong track record in system transformation, simplification, and program delivery across HR platforms such as SAP, SuccessFactors, ServiceNow and Donesafe.
  • Strategic and commercial acumen, with the ability to align technology solutions to business objectives, backed by strong analytical, financial and project management skills.
  • Proven ability to influence and engage executive stakeholders, managing cross-functional relationships across People & Culture, Technology, Finance, and external vendors to drive enterprise-wide change.
  • A deep understanding of governance, compliance and contemporary work practices, with the capability to uplift prioritisation frameworks and lead innovation in system design and service delivery.

How we’ll deliver for you

  • Be part of a culture where everybody feels they belong, are valued, and can bring their authentic self to work every day.
  • We deliver on our values of Trust, Inclusivity, Empowerment and Safety every day. They’re the TIES that bind our team together.
  • Flexible working, across support office and operational facilities across the network.
