At Australia Post, we're committed to providing careers and development programs for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Acknowledging the traditional owners of this land, their ancestors, spiritual connections to Country and our participation in reconciliation with Indigenous Australians is very important to us. We have a long and proud history of providing employment and career development, building sustainable business growth in partnership, and supporting social and economic participation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

Australia Post has launched a new Accessibility Inclusion Plan, developed with our employee network and leaders from across the business. Gender equality

Australia Post is committed to supporting an equitable representation of gender across the organisation, so increasing women’s participation across the business is a key focus area. With a focus on gender equality, we have the goal of 40% representation of women across our workforce and 40% of women in leadership positions by 2026. We already have gender equality in our executive leadership team of 50% women and our gender pay equality results in 2021 showed that our gender pay difference was slightly favourable to female employees by just above 2 per cent.

LGBTQIA+ inclusion

We proudly welcome and support people of any sexual orientation, gender identity or intersex status. We spend a lot of time at work and we want to ensure that you feel included, safe and respected.

Australia Post supports our LGBTIQA+ team members through our Post Pride network, Rainbow Peer Support Group, Specialised Counsellor Support and more.

Cultural and linguistic diversity

We have one of the most culturally and linguistically diverse workforces in Australia. Our team is made up of 134 nationalities. By enhancing the skills and capability of our people, we aim to break down language and cultural barriers and provide career fulfilment.

Our key initiatives include mentoring, cultural awareness, career management, language and literacy. We’re also a proud sponsor of ‘A Taste of Harmony’, an event we celebrate nationally in our offices, facilities and retail outlets to embrace our different cultures.
