About the opportunity

We are looking for an Operations Clerk to join our diverse and hard-working team at our Yandina based StarTrack Road Facility. Our Operations Clerks are a key support to our team and internal and external stakeholders for multiple areas of the business including operations, management and customers. You'll be assisting the team tracking freight, obtaining delivery information from drivers, or coordinating the movement of freight and using your superior organising skills to ensure all tasks are completed correctly and efficiently. This role is casual role working across Monday to Friday predominantly between the hours of 9am to 3pm Monday to Friday (flexibility required).


You’ll be

  • Assisting the team tracking an locating freight via phone calls, databases and physically looking in the warehouse 
  • Obtaining delivery information from drivers such as estimated time of arrival, proof of delivery, delivery condition
  • Coordinating the movement of freight by booking in deliveries, in consultation with the driver, receivers and third parties
  • Carrying out data entry and general admin duties


About you 

  • Strong level of communication skills, you're able to relay information in a logical and easy to understand manner
  • Sound software skills and ability to pick up new systems with ease will be highly valued - MS Office and inhouse programs
  • You’re fit and can lift up to 30kg - we assess this at a pre-employment medical check to help make sure you’re safe on the job 
  • You’re a team player, passionate about helping our team keep the community connected 
  • Experienced with problem solving and investigation
  • Flexible to work overtime on occasion
  • Previous exposure to an operational environment will be valued
