StarTrack have a 6-months fixed term opportunity for a National Improvement Officer. While initially offered as a 6-month fixed-term contract, there may be an opportunity for the role to become permanent.
This position can be based in any capital city nationally.
As a National Improvement Officer, you will assist the National Business Improvement & Implementation team in continuous improvement initiatives. This team manages Customer, Project & Technology implementations for StarTrack Courier. Support stakeholders in Courier, Next Flight, On Demand & the wider business – leading & implementing continuous improvement processes & outcomes for both financial & service performance.
- Analyse financial reporting & create bespoke reports to identify trends & areas for cost reduction or efficiency gains
- Serve as a subject matter expert for Despatch Master & NextGen devices
- Assist in the preparation and implementation of change projects to improve StarTrack Courier and Next Flight operations
- Provide input and assistance for major IT/technical changes
- Analyse service performance & create bespoke reports via Excel to identify areas for improvement
- Foster a culture of safety and wellbeing, putting the customer at the forefront of all activities and decisions
- Facilitate meetings and presentations to internal and external stakeholders
- Liaise with our external customers and regular in-person visits at their places of business
- Analyse financial and service performance data to identify improvement opportunities
- Develop and implement SOPs and continuous improvement processes across multiple business units
- Support the implementation of network infrastructure enhancements
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to drive project success
- Intermediate knowledge of Despatch Master (DM) and related sites (e.g., Contractor Compliance Portal, GPS Website)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Skilled in analytical tools like Google Data Studio, Tableau, and Power BI
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills
- Strong interpersonal skills to develop effective working relationships
- Current driver’s license
- Experience in Courier Transport logistics is a plus
