Morning shift - Workshop/Heavy Diesel Mechanic

Are you motivated by the responsibility to help enable our friendly team to deliver for our customers every day? As our Workshop/Heavy Diesel Mechanic, you’ll be trusted with the responsibility of the effective diagnosis and repair of StarTrack heavy fleet vehicles and trailers to ensure team members in our facility and out on the road can deliver like never before. This position is based at StarTrack Tullamarine.
Shift details
- Permanent, full time
- Monday to Friday
- 7:30am - 3:36pm
- Overtime (pre or post shift, as required) - overtime rates apply
- $38.35ph base rate
- + $17.50 per week tool allowance (basic tools)
- + 12% superannuation
- + Leave entitlements such as annual, long service and sick leave accruals
You’ll be
- Diagnosing issues and repairing heavy fleet vehicles and trailers
- Trailer service and repairs under NHVR regulations
- Maintaining a high standard of record keeping
- Servicing FUSO and Mercedes Trucks
About you
- Mechanic qualification mandatory
- Flexibility to work additional hours if required (all overtime paid at overtime rates)
- You have previous experience in a similar role
- Certificate III in Heavy Road Transport advantageous
- Heavy Rigid and fork licence is advantageous, though not essential and in time we will support you in obtaining these qualifications!
