Our letters and parcels business has an important and evolving part to play in providing consumers and businesses with a safe, easy and efficient service. And in this position, you’ll be in amongst the action, working with the cutting-edge technology that makes it all possible.  We are looking for a highly motivated Maintenance Technician at our busy processing facility.  


About the role  

You will report directly to the Duty Technical Team Leader and conduct the maintenance activities associated with Processing Equipment and ensure that services and production standards within the facility are achieved.

The role operates on a rotating roster of 17 shifts across each 4-week cycle, including some night shifts and weekends.

Base Salary of $75k - $94k, based on experience and qualifications + 12% Super + penalties of between 15% - 100% with realistic earning potential for over $100k.    

As well as that, you will see annual salary increases and evaluated incremental increases based on further experience with us.

You will also accrue 5 weeks of annual leave each year.


To do that, you will:  

    Ensure safety is always foremost in all activities and ensure compliance with Australia Post Occupational Health and Safety Policies 

    Perform maintenance activities including corrective, predictive and preventative maintenance in consideration of operational requirements  

    Ensure all plant and material maintenance transactions are accurately recorded using SAP 

    Work as part of a team with operations and other service groups to achieve high levels of reliability, performance and cost effectiveness 

    Be able to work at heights from mobile platforms  


What we are looking for?  

    Experience in the diagnosis, repair and monitoring of processing equipment and systems 

    Proven ability to work independently without supervision  

    Participate in performance monitoring, commissioning and continuous improvement activities  

    Experience working in a team based environment, and liaise effectively with operations and other stakeholders to achieve high levels of machine performance  

    Demonstrate a high level of ability in utilizing SAP as an information tool 

    Exposure to PLC and variable speed drives is also advantageous 

    Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing  


The minimum qualification requirements are:  

    A current unrestricted South Australian Electrical License (Certificate III in Electro Technology, Systems Technician or Equivalent) 

OR

    Mechanical Trade Certificate III or higher, paired with a restricted electrical license    

Applicants that do not have either of above qualifications will not be considered.


And we’d be very impressed if you have:  

    A Certificate IV in Electro Technology (Systems Electrician) or equivalent (or progression towards completion) 

    Certificate IV in Business (Frontline Management) 

    Mechanical Aptitude  

    Experience in IT, Data communications highly desirable 

    A High Risk License in Elevated Work Platforms
