Are you motivated by playing a vital hands‑on role in keeping our operations moving smoothly? As our Yard Hand, you’ll be a key part of our trusted business supporting the flow of freight, connecting businesses with their customers, and helping keep our operations running safely and efficiently every day. You’ll be a staple of your team and your community, and it doesn’t get better than that!
You’ll be
- Available to work night shift, with flexibility to support overtime and occasional day‑shift work in line with operational needs.
- Safely loading, unloading and moving freight, cages, and equipment within the yard.
- Conducting basic equipment and yard checks to maintain a safe working environment.
- Assisting with the organisation of freight, vehicles, and materials to support yard operations.
- Working closely with drivers, team members, and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient yard environment.
About you
- You’re friendly, enthusiastic and reliable, and love autonomy just as much as interacting with others and being a team player.
- You’re passionate about making a difference in the community.
You’ll also need to
- Hold a relevant heavy vehicle licence, MC preferred
- Forklift License (LF) advantageous
- Be safety-focused and understand the importance of chain of responsibility.
- Have a customer-centric mindset and effective communication skills.
- Meet our safe working load limit of weighing 120kgs or less.
- Be fit enough to load and unload parcels of all different shapes, sizes and weights.
- Be prepared to provide a driving history report, undergo a pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol screening and national police checks.
