Are you motivated by getting behind the wheel of one of our iconic trucks to deliver for customers? As our Seasonal Casual Yard Hand, you’ll be involved in ensuring our trucks can get out on the road and keep Australia moving! At the heart of Sunshine West, you'll play an important role in maintaining our trucks, schedules and ensuring businesses and customers receive their packages and parcels on time!


 

You’ll be 


  • Performing general yard duties 
  • Assisting with vehicle maintenance and cleaning
  • Driving our modern trucks within the yard to their designated bays - truck sizes range from HR up to MC
  • Available to work overtime where available
  • Available full time from October to assist with our peak period
  • Potential for ongoing permanent employment
  • Day or Nightshift positions available
  • Earning a competitive casual rate of $42.65 for day shift and $48.20 for night shift!


 

About you


  • You’re available to work from October, through our peak period
  • You hold a valid HC or MC license
  • You’re safety-focused and understand the importance of chain of responsibility  
  • You’re prepared to provide a driving history report, undergo an Australia Post specific pre-employment medical, drug/alcohol screening and national police checks.    


How we’ll deliver for you


  • You'll be allocated a regular shift time, and work with a great bunch of people
  • A higher rate of pay apply for applicable shifts (penalty rates)
  • You'll benefit from a 12% superannuation rate
  • We may have opportunities for ongoing work beyond the peak season
