  • Opportunity to earn up to $140K+ (average 2024 earnings for NSW which includes $79 399 base + penalties and overtime, depending on hours and shift times worked)

About the role

You will report directly to the Duty Technical Team Leader, conducting maintenance on our Mail Processing Equipment and ensuring our parcel processing facilities meet production standards. You’ll be part of an environment that values:

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring safety is always a priority, adhering to Australia Post OH&S policies
  • Performing corrective, predictive, and preventative maintenance
  • Accurately recording maintenance activities in SAP
  • Collaborating with operations and service teams to maintain high reliability, performance, and cost-effectiveness
  • Working at heights from mobile platforms
  • Working from different facility sites from time to time with vehicle provided


What we are looking for:

  • Experience diagnosing, repairing, and monitoring conveyor processing equipment and systems
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Participation in performance monitoring, commissioning, and continuous improvement activities
  • Use of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems
  • Effective oral and written communication skills


The minimum qualification requirements are:

  • A current NSW A current Electrical License or Restricted license or willing to undertake the necessary training to acquire a Restricted license.
  • Certificate III in Electrotechnology or Mechanical Trades
  • Final-year Certificate III Electrotechnology apprentices may also be considered


And we’d be very impressed if you have:

  • Certificate IV in Electrical or Mechanical engineering or equivalent (or progression towards completion)
  • Certificate IV in Business (Frontline Management) engineering or equivalent (or progression towards completion)
  • Demonstrated high-level ability in using SAP
  • Exposure to PLCs and variable speed drives
  • Proven ‘hands-on’ mechanical aptitude
  • Experience in IT, data communications
  • A High-Risk Licence for Elevated Work Platforms
