About the opportunity  

We’re looking for a Freight Handler to join our diverse and hard-working team at StarTrack based at the Perth airport opposite the DFO. With e-commerce booming, our freight handlers are the folks making sure consignments are correctly loaded so we can get deliveries out to our customers, fast. Here you'll work in a team environment, enjoy physical activity and a safe environment in which you can grow and develop your career.

This is a permanent full time opportunity working Monday to Friday from 6.30am - 2.36pm with occasional overtime required (flexibility is a must) - beat the peak hour traffic each way! This role pays $30.54 per hour plus 12% super, over time rates and has an extra $50 per week location allowance attached!

You’ll be

• Using your strong work ethic to help us keep delivering great service 
• Handloading parcels and cartons from conveyor belts into trucks, ready for our drivers to head out on the road 
• Unloading trucks when drivers get back to the warehouse 
• Wrapping freight by hand or using a shrink wrapper (you know - like the ones at the airport), electronically scanning parcels and updating documentation. 

About you 

• You’re fit and can lift at least 30kg repeatedly – we assess this at a pre-employment medical check to help make sure you’re safe on the job 
• You’re laser focused, even when the role gets repetitive 
• You’re a team player, passionate about helping our team keep the community connected 
• You’re also an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident 
• If you’ve got a forklift licence that’s a plus, since this comes handy moving freight around the warehouse
