About the opportunity  

Are you motivated by getting behind the wheel of one of our iconic blue trucks to deliver for customers? As our unrestricted MR Truck Driver in our StarTrack Perth facility located on Boud Ave, Perth Airport, you’ll be the face of our trusted business, at the heart of your community and connecting businesses with their customers, and communities with each other day-in, day-out. You might not be working from home, but you’ll be on the road as a staple of your community, and it doesn’t get better than that!  This role has variety galore - physical activity lifting freight, driving and delivering customer service!

This a permanent part time opportunity working Monday to Friday. The hourly rate is $31.16 plus 12% super and time and a half for overtime. Our part time roles work from 9am - 3pm however if you need to finish earlier to pick the kids up from school (for example!), we may be able to discuss an earlier finish time. 

You’ll be

• Safely loading your truck with freight for your deliveries with teammates at the facility  
• Completing your own daily vehicle safety check   
• Driving our modern trucks between our operational centres and customers, for deliveries and pick-ups
• Providing our customers with an outstanding customer experience   
• Returning to our operational centres to unload pick-ups

 About you    

 You’re a friendly, enthusiastic and reliable personality who loves autonomy just as much as interacting with others and being a team player. You’re passionate about making a difference in the community.  

 You’ll also need to 

•  Hold a relevant unrestricted MR license   
•  Be fit enough to load and unload freight items of all different shapes, sizes and weights, frequently in and out of a truck (up to 30kg)  
• Be safety-focused and understand the importance of chain of responsibility  
•  Have a customer-centric mindset and effective communication skills  
•  You will need to meet our safe working load limit of weighing 130kgs or less
•  Be prepared to undergo a driving assessment, pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol screening and national police checks
