- Permanent part-time position working 25hrs per week
- Commitment required to work Monday to Friday 12:30pm to 5:30pm
- Working afternoon shifts, starting and finishing at the Pinkenba Pick-Up-Delivery Centre
- Required to safely perform and operate a van to perform duties; picking up mail from Street Posting Boxes, Corporate Offices, Licensed Post Offices, and Delivery Centres
- Picking up some mail and parcel items from our Business Customers
- Unloading mail articles from vans and manually sorting them into small or large letters and parcels including express posts
- Completing your own daily vehicle safety check
- Paired up with our experienced senior drivers, who are committed to engage and take part in your professional development
- You hold a full or probationary QLD driver’s licence and good driving history
- You have experience driving a van or similar sized vehicle (automatic)
- You are happy to participate in a pre-employment practical driving assessment
- You're flexible with working additional hours if required
- You are ok to handle packages that may contain food or alcohol products
- You have a great memory, excellent attention to detail and can lift up to 16kgs of Mail and Parcels regularly
- You are comfortable being on your feet, in and out of a vehicle frequently, and doing physical indoor and outdoor work
- You'll need to meet our safe working load limit of weighing 130kgs or less

Training and Support
At Australia Post, our training and induction programs offer support to ensure we set you up for success. You will attend an induction in your first week with our Learning and Development Team followed by a site-specific induction at your respective facility and additional online learning modules. As a new employee, you will receive one-on-one coaching, followed by regular check-ins with your Manager and Trainer to track progress, provide feedback, and discuss any support needed. We assess development at the end of each month during your probationary period, with adjustments or additional training as required. The program includes site-specific inductions and hands-on training, building employees up to full delivery capacity within six weeks. Our approach is flexible, ensuring long-term success and continuous growth.
