About the opportunity  
Are you motivated by getting behind the wheel of one of our iconic blue trucks to deliver for customers? As our MR Truck Driver in our friendly StarTrack Mackay team, you’ll be the face of our trusted business, at the heart of your community and connecting businesses with their customers, and communities with each other day-in, day-out. You might not be working from home, but you’ll be on the road as a staple of your community, and it doesn’t get better than that!  

This is a permanent full time working Mon-Fri paying $31.26/hr + 12% super along with a $50/week location allowance and additional overtime rates. Enjoy a role with variety including freight handling (up to 30kg), scanning, autonomy on the road and delighting our customers.

You’ll be

• Freight Handling and safely loading your truck with freight for your deliveries with teammates at the facility utilising technology to scan your frieght and set your run/GPS  
• Completing your own daily vehicle safety check   
• Driving our modern trucks between our operational centres and customers, for deliveries and pick-ups to industrial, residential and commercial customers
• Returning to our operational centres to unload pick-ups

About you    

You’re a friendly, enthusiastic and reliable personality who loves autonomy just as much as interacting with others and being a team player. You’re passionate about making a difference in the community.  

You’ll also need to 

• Be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident  
• Hold a relevant MR vehicle license (we will consider C Class Drivers with pick up and delivery experience who wish to upgrade to an MR licence) 
• Be fit enough to load and unload up to 30kg of freight items of all different shapes, sizes and weights, frequently in and out of a truck.  
• Be safety-focused and understand the importance of chain of responsibility  
• Have a customer focussed mindset and effective communication skills  
• You will need to meet our safe working load limit of weighing 130kgs or less
• Be prepared to provide a driving history report, undergo a pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol screening and national police checks
