We're hiring Parcel Sorters for multiple permanent part-time positions, working two days a week – Monday and Tuesday.
About the Role: As a Parcel Sorting Officer, you’ll be responsible for manually sorting mail in preparation for delivery the next day. The best part? This is a permanent part-time role, where you’ll work just two days a week – Monday and Tuesday – giving you the flexibility to balance your personal life whether that’s work, spending more time with the kids, juggling study commitments, or anything else that makes you happy!
You’ll be
- Sorting parcels and mail (manually or machine-assisted) with the use of scanners
- Manually loading and unloading mail from mail bags, trays, containers and metal cages (Unit Loading Devices)
- Working across sophisticated processing equipment and lines
- Operating and using load shifting equipment such as hand pallet devices and stackers whilst cooperating with operations staff to get the mail into the facility
About you
- You’re available to work 2 days a week, Monday and Tuesday, 10.45am – 6.36pm
- You enjoy a physical role, can lift up to 16kgs of Mail and Parcels regularly, have a great memory and attention to detail
- You’re safety-conscious and able to safely operate equipment such as conveyors, loading/lifting devices including pallet jacks to load and unload parcels from trucks and vans
- You enjoy a fast paced environment where you can complete compliance checks
- You’re comfortable handling parcels that may contain meat and/or alcohol products
