Are you motivated by getting behind the wheel of one of our iconic red trucks to deliver for customers? As our Heavy Vehicle Truck Driver, you’ll be the face of our trusted business, at the heart of your community and connecting businesses with their customers, and communities with each other day-in, day-out. You’ll be on the road as a staple of your community, and it doesn’t get better than that!  

Total Hourly Earnings: $36.20 – $44.30 per hour + super*

Enjoy competitive hourly earnings that reward your work and flexibility. Your total hourly rate includes:

  • A strong base hourly rate
  • Shift loading of 15% or 30% (applied to all operational hours worked)
  • Additional vehicle allowances, depending on the type of vehicle operated

*Employees receive either a 15% or 30% shift loading based on rostered hours (only one applies at a time). Vehicle allowances vary depending on vehicle type and are not guaranteed each shift. Actual earnings will depend on roster, hours worked and vehicle allocation.

This is a 6 month fixed-term role with strong opportunities for extension or ongoing employment for the right candidate, subject to operational requirements.

About you 
  • Hold a valid Forklift License (or be willing to obtain one) and HC truck License.
  • Flexible to work across rotating PM and AM shifts 
  • You’re friendly, enthusiastic and reliable, and love autonomy just as much as interacting with others and being a team player. 
  • You’re passionate about making a difference in the community.  

You’ll also need to    
  • Be safety-focused and understand the importance of chain of responsibility.  
  • Have a customer-centric mindset and effective communication skills.  
  • Meet our safe working load limit of weighing 120kgs or less. 
  • Be fit enough to load and unload parcels of all different shapes, sizes and weights.  
  • Be prepared to provide a driving history report, undergo a pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol screening and national police checks. 
  • Completing your own daily vehicle safety check 
  • Driving our modern trucks between our operational centres and customers, for deliveries and pick-ups
