Description & Requirements

The purpose of this position is to provide high level Operational Support to drive efficiencies, reporting and improvements, compliances in all areas across Delivery Operations under limited supervision of Delivery Managers and Team Leaders.

Major Accountabilities:

    Manage/Lead the Team including organising and reporting workloads on a daily basis

    Undertake all duties associated with individual and group performance

    Follow up on customer complaints with members of the team

    Conduct induction and performance reviews on new staff

    As required perform all duties associated with Dock area including Management of Unaddressed and other Deferred Delivery mail and maintenance of daily records, distribution and dispatch of Depot Bags/Throw Offs to contractors and management of customer mail receipts.

    Participate in daily production meetings and Team briefings

    To be adaptable and easily adjust to different delivery rounds and tasks

    To be able to perform relief where needed

    To be able to build collaborative relationships with staff in various work centers


To be considered for this position please ensure you address the following Key selection Criteria in your application:

    A current unrestricted Motorcycle License relevant to your state of residence (Provisional License may be considered)

    Have completed or willing to successfully complete our practical Electric pushbike, Motorcycle and Electric Delivery Vehicle assessment

    Must be able to lift up to 16kgs of mail on a repetitive basis


Essential Experience & Critical Knowledge:

    Good knowledge of and experience in Postal Delivery Operations

    Ability to undertake all delivery functions including all modes of outdoor delivery

    Good knowledge in the use of scanner technology

    Commitment to Customer service and adherence to service standards

    Ability to accept and implement changes in the workplace

    Understanding of Australia Post’s practices, policies and procedures including WH&S, EEO, and Harassment Discrimination and Bullying

    Ability to work as part of a team and interact effectively with team members, Supervisors and Managers

    Safe motorcycle riding skills
