  • Part time, 12-month position, working Monday to Friday (No weekends!)
  • Commitment to working 10am - 2pm, minimum 20 hrs a week, in a role gets you outside and keeps you active.

As a Postie at our Cannonvale Delivery Annexe, you’ll be operating and delivering on our Motorcycle as the face of our trusted business, at the heart of your community and connecting Australians every single day.

You might not be working from home, but you’ll be working autonomously out on-the-road, interacting with others and being a team player and it doesn’t get better than that!


You’ll be

  • Sorting mail and small parcels with your teammates at the facility 
  • Completing your own daily vehicle safety check
  • Loading your vehicle with your deliveries for the day 
  • Delivering outdoors in all types of weather to deliver to homes and businesses
  • Paired up with our experienced Rider Mentors, who are committed to engage and take part in your professional development


About you 

  • You hold a full or probationary QLD motorcycle licence, and are experienced and confident riding a geared bike. 
  • You’ll successfully pass our mandatory and practical riding assessment
  • You love getting outdoors and working in and around your community.
  • You are flexible with working additional hours if required
  • You have a great memory, excellent attention to detail and can lift up to 16kgs of Mail and Parcels regularly 
  • You will need to meet our safe working load limit of weighing 100kgs or less

  • Post probationary $ (after 3 months training rate) is $30.93 base per hour plus additional 15% shift penalties and 12% superannuation

Training and Support

At Australia Post, our training and induction programs offer support to ensure we set you up for success. You will attend an induction in your first week with our Learning and Development Team followed by a site-specific induction at your respective facility and additional online learning modules. As a new employee, you will receive one-on-one coaching, followed by regular check-ins with your Manager and Trainer to track progress, provide feedback, and discuss any support needed. We assess development at the end of each month during your probationary period, with adjustments or additional training as required. The program includes hands-on training, building employees up to full delivery capacity. Our approach is flexible, with the option to swap coaches for fresh perspectives, ensuring long-term success and continuous growth.
