About the opportunity  

The Workplace Rehabilitation Provider is responsible for assessing the rehabilitation needs of injured employees immediately following an injury and facilitating earliest possible return to work. They will be required to develop, implement, and monitor rehabilitation and return to work plans, liaise with medical/treating practitioners, service providers, workplace managers and claims officers. 

What you’ll deliver with us  

You will make a difference to our employees lives and help support them in their journey to return to work. 

You’ll also   

  • Assess an injured employee’s capability to undertake a rehabilitation program, including conducting initial rehabilitation assessments and work site assessments
  • Design, develop and manage return to work programs tailored to an individual’s rehabilitation needs
  • Assist with preventative injury management strategies for individual employees and the workplace, such as ergonomic or safe work practices
  • Maintain detailed and accurate file records
  • Conduct training sessions on occupational rehabilitation, policy and procedures

 

About you  

You will be an Allied Health professional who has a passion for helping others. We are seeking someone who also has strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.  

 

You’ll also need   

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Psychology, Rehabilitation Counselling or Exercise Physiology
  • Prior experience applying early injury management strategies
  • Eligibility for membership of relevant professional association
  • Excellent case management skills with proven return to work outcomes
