About the opportunity
The Territory Manager is responsible for leading delivery operations and ensuring safe, efficient and customer-focused performance. This position oversees the management of multiple delivery sites, monitoring operational standards, service outcomes and compliance. A key focus of the role is implementing the transformation of the Last Mile network, supporting integration initiatives, implementing new ways of working and fostering a strong One Team culture across delivery, processing and transport functions within the territory.

What you’ll deliver with us

In this role, you will deliver strong operational, financial and customer outcomes while leading teams through ongoing network transformation.

You will:

  • Oversee day-to-day delivery operations, ensuring safety, service, compliance and performance standards are consistently met.
  • Implement network optimisation and integration initiatives that improve efficiency, cost to serve and enhance customer experience.
  • Manage budgets and resources effectively, identifying opportunities to improve cost to serve and operational improvements.
  • Build a customer-centric culture by engaging stakeholders, supporting NPS outcomes and embedding customer mindset programs.
  • Lead teams through change with clear communication, strong people leadership, and a focus on safety, wellbeing and continuous improvement.
  • Lead with safety and people at the core, creating an inclusive, high-performing, and community-focused environment that lives the One Australia Post values.

About you

You’re an experienced operational leader who thrives in complex, fast-paced environments and can influence, engage and guide teams through significant organisational change. You bring strong commercial acumen, confident decision-making, and the ability to navigate challenging industrial landscapes while keeping your team, customers and the broader network front of mind.

You will also bring:

  • Proven experience leading operations in a large, complex organisation, with the ability to make quick decisions and drive cultural and organisational change.
  • Strong business and financial acumen, including planning, budgeting, analysis and identifying cost to serve or optimisation opportunities.
  • Demonstrated experience managing industrial relations matters, negotiating with unions and navigating sensitive workplace issues.
  • Highly developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence leadership behaviours and collaborate across cross-functional teams.
  • Strong understanding of HR, OH&S, industrial relations frameworks and corporate systems related to performance, planning and reporting.
  • Knowledge of commercial and contractual practices, and experience applying Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Familiarity with parcel, mail, transport and delivery operations, including Community Service Obligations and the integration of processing and delivery functions.
