Help us deliver like never before
Australia Post is delivering like never before. From the vehicles that we drive, to the small businesses that make our communities thrive. We’re delivering for the environment, for our communities, for our customers and our people. We’re moving forward and we want you to come along for the ride.
About the opportunity
In today’s evolving international parcels environment, delivering solutions that are simple, efficient, and market-relevant is more important than ever. As a key member of the International Commercial team, this role is responsible for overseeing the international volumes processed through the Sydney Bonded facility. This includes managing clearance and outturn activities, ensuring compliance and safety standards are met, driving processing efficiencies, and securing volume for last mile delivery.
Operating under the Commercial Clearance team, you’ll play a crucial part in optimising and growing our inbound solutions—complementing traditional postal pathways while leveraging synergies across the Australia Post and StarTrack networks. You’ll work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners including service providers, compliance teams, and border authorities, to ensure we remain agile, aligned, and commercially competitive in a dynamic global market.
What you’ll deliver with us
As a key member of the International Commercial team, you’ll play a hands-on role in overseeing the operational performance of the Sydney Bonded facility. Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, you’ll ensure the smooth flow of international parcel volumes while maintaining compliance, safety, and service standards.
- Supervise day-to-day operations, including cargo retrieval, clearance, and last mile injection in alignment with network teams.
- Manage transport allocations and lead the warehouse team to ensure consistent service delivery across all gateways.
- Oversee compliance with 77G regulations and all relevant border authority requirements.
- Support the implementation of new systems and products to improve processing efficiency.
- Deliver weekly SLA reporting, ensure infrastructure is maintained, and drive 100% scan and security compliance.
About you
You bring deep expertise in international cargo operations and a strong understanding of customs regulations, bonded facility procedures, and the technologies that drive operational efficiency. With a solid foundation in both international and domestic logistics, you’re confident leading high-performing teams and driving results in fast-paced, compliance-driven environments. Your ability to influence and collaborate across stakeholders enables you to deliver service excellence while supporting broader strategic objectives.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience supervising warehouse operations in a bonded facility, ideally within the logistics or freight sector.
- Strong knowledge of 77G facility regulations, clearance modelling, and end-to-end parcel flow, including work-in-motion trials and SLA performance reporting.
- Proficiency in key systems such as CargoWise, ICS, and Microsoft Office, with a good understanding of competitor technologies and operational tools.
- Proven ability to build engaged, high-performing teams, resolve complex operational challenges, and support cost-effective service delivery.
- Commercially minded, with a strong grasp of profitability drivers and the ability to align operations with Australia Post’s strategic goals.
