About the opportunity
We’re looking for a passionate and experienced State Operations Support & Compliance Manager VIC/TAS to join our high-performing Network Operations team at StarTrack. Based in Tullamarine, you’ll play a vital role in shaping a safer and more compliant operation across Victoria and Tasmania. This is your chance to drive genuine change and support continuous improvement in a fast-paced, nationally critical environment.
What you’ll deliver with us
Reporting to the State Operations Manager, you’ll lead the development and execution of safety and compliance programs across the state network. Your role is pivotal in ensuring operational standards are met, compliance is maintained, and service excellence is achieved.
You’ll also
- Lead compliance initiatives across key areas including Chain of Responsibility (CoR), safety, injury management, training, and pallet management
- Conduct internal audits, identify gaps, and implement solutions to improve operational safety and compliance outcomes
- Work collaboratively with local and national teams to embed continuous improvement and ensure alignment with enterprise KPIs
- Provide data-driven reporting to support compliance, safety, and workforce management
- Champion a strong safety culture and lead the return-to-work process for injured employees
About you
You’re a natural leader who thrives in dynamic operational environments. You’re known for your strong influencing skills, ability to drive change, and commitment to safety and compliance. You have a passion for building partnerships, solving complex problems, and driving continuous improvement that positively impacts people and processes.
You’ll also need
- Proven experience in operational leadership, compliance, or safety within transport or logistics
- Strong understanding of Chain of Responsibility (CoR), OH&S, and injury management frameworks
- Demonstrated experience managing audits, analysing data, and delivering practical solutions
- Exceptional communication, stakeholder engagement, and report-writing skills
- Experience working in environments governed by service-level agreements (SLAs)
