About the opportunity 

As the State Administration Manager Vic/Tas, you’ll be joining the dynamic Network Operations team within StarTrack Road Express – a team delivering like never before by driving operational excellence and financial accountability across the network. Based at our Tullamarine site, you’ll lead a high-performing, geographically dispersed team, ensuring the smooth running of administration, finance and vendor operations across Victoria and Tasmania.

 

What you’ll deliver with us 

You’ll lead the end-to-end administration function, with a key focus on:

  • Accurate and timely invoicing and payment processing
  • Vendor management and performance accountability
  • Monitoring and eliminating cost overruns
  • Driving continuous improvement in administrative processes

Reporting to the State Operations Manager, you’ll collaborate closely with Finance, Procurement, and Operations teams to ensure financial compliance and efficiency at all levels.

You’ll also  

  • Lead and mentor a diverse administrative team across multiple sites
  • Ensure adherence to vendor contracts and service-level expectations
  • Oversee procurement, asset tracking, and payment accuracy
  • Champion initiatives that reduce inefficiencies and support business goals


 About you
 

You’re a driven, proactive leader who thrives in fast-paced, complex environments. You take ownership, communicate with clarity, and lead by example. You bring energy to problem-solving, care deeply about performance, and are committed to building an inclusive, collaborative workplace.


You’ll also need  

  • Proven experience in administration management, invoicing and financial oversight
  • Strong skills in vendor management and cost control
  • Experience managing dispersed teams and driving team engagement
  • Proficiency in financial systems and reporting tools
  • A background in the transport, logistics or similar operational industries (preferred)
