About the opportunity  

As Social Media Manager, you will bring the brand narrative to life in a way that genuinely connects with customers’ hearts and minds. You’ll drive an ambitious strategy that elevates how Australia Post shows up by creating consistent, impactful content that connects with customers and showcases a modern, engaging brand.

This is a 12-month, fixed term opportunity.

What you’ll deliver with us  

You will leverage a deep understanding of social media and pop culture to concept, film, design, and produce timely, engaging content, backed by data-driven insights. You’ll apply strong social listening skills to inform decisions, using analytics to articulate what works and why, while helping to shape platform strategies and tailoring content to each platform’s format, audience and trends.

You’ll also   

  • Work with the team to manage our owned social channels, building a strong content calendar that delivers key brand messaging in a compelling way
  • Actively engage with our audience in comments across our own and wider platform content, staying true to our tone of voice
  • Develop best practice social media activity that is informed by customer research and insights, including owned data and cross functional reporting
  • Collaborate with other members of the Creative & Media Services team to deliver strong outcomes for stakeholders and the customer through best practice support of marketing campaigns and always-on activity
  • Deliver reporting on social media performance and broader conversations about the brand, using insights to inform the business and monitor sentiment and emerging risks


About you  

You’re a creative, go-getter who thrives in a fast-paced, reactive environment. With a flair for developing bold, original ideas that stand out in crowded feeds, you bring fresh ideas to life while maintaining precision and high-quality delivery. You’re a confident stakeholder manager with a natural ability to build strong relationships, influence outcomes, and collaborate seamlessly to get great work over the line.


You’ll also need   

  • 2+ years of experience in social media and marketing(Tik Tok, Instagram, Facebook & LinkedIn)
  • Experience in planning,developingand implementing social media marketing activities in large organisations.
  • Proven experience driving demonstrable business outcomes through social media and marketing activities
  • Experience using data driven insights to shape and socialise content outcomes  
  • Working knowledge of social media tools such as Brandwatch
