Help us deliver a better tomorrow

Australia Post is delivering for all Australians. From the vehicles that we drive, to the small businesses that make our communities thrive. We’re delivering for the environment, for our communities, for our customers and for our people. We’re moving forward and we want you to come along for the ride.

About the opportunity

At Australia Post, we’re on an exciting journey and our People & Culture Talent Attraction team is playing a pivotal role in reshaping how we attract, grow and retain top talent. As a Senior Talent Attraction Business Partner, you’ll be part of a high-impact team bringing fresh thinking and strategy to how we build leadership capability, support workforce mobility, and connect with the external talent market. This is a chance to work side-by-side with senior leaders, influence enterprise wide decisions, and help shape the future of one of Australia’s most iconic organisations.

You’ll join a supportive, forward thinking team that values curiosity, collaboration, and making real change. Whether it’s advising on complex executive hiring or leading initiatives that uplift hiring practices across the board your work will have real meaning, and a clear impact.

What you’ll deliver with us

In this role, you’ll be the go-to advisor for executive level hiring across our Support Office and Technology divisions. You’ll work closely with GMs, EGMs and HR leaders to design tailored recruitment strategies, build internal talent pathways, and ensure a high-quality, inclusive hiring experience from start to finish.

Reporting to the Talent Attraction Manager, you’ll be empowered to lead your portfolio end-to-end driving hiring decisions, uplifting hiring capability, and connecting us with the best Talent. Success in this role means building trusted relationships, delivering meaningful workforce insights, and ensuring every recruitment interaction reflects our values and ambition.

You’ll also

  • Own and lead the end-to-end recruitment process critical leadership roles by building targeted resourcing plans and delivering exceptional outcomes for hiring leaders.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders by coaching on best-practice hiring approaches and providing tailored insights on talent trends and external market shifts.
  • Drive strategic talent projects and uplift hiring practices enterprise wide through project leadership, innovation, and sharing best-practice approaches with peers and partners.
  • Engage deeply with the external talent market by building strong talent pools, promoting our Talent Value Proposition (TVP), and representing Australia Post as an employer of choice in your network.
  • Deliver a high-touch, inclusive candidate experience ensuring every interaction is timely, thoughtful and aligned with our Circle Back commitment.
  • Uplift hiring practices enterprise-wide through project leadership, innovation, and sharing best-practice approaches with peers and partners.

About you

You’re a proactive, strategic thinker with a genuine passion for helping people grow their careers. You thrive in fast-paced, complex environments and bring a calm, solutions-focused mindset to everything you do. Building trusted relationships is your strength—you’re confident advising and influencing senior leaders, and equally comfortable collaborating with peers to get things done. You’re curious about the market, driven by outcomes, and motivated by the opportunity to make a real impact on people and culture at scale.

You bring a strong interest and proven experience in tech recruitment, with a finger on the pulse of emerging trends, in-demand skillsets and the evolving talent landscape. You stay up to date with industry changes, attend tech meetups or events, and know how to connect with and engage tech professionals in meaningful ways.  At Australia Post, we value flexibility, collaboration and shared success. You bring a team-first attitude, adapt quickly to change, and are always looking for better ways to attract, retain and support great people.

You’ll also need

  • Extensive experience in talent acquisition, executive recruitment or talent leadership, ideally within internal TA teams or recruitment consultancy
  • A strong background and enthusiasm for tech recruitment, with the ability to understand technical role requirements, engage specialist talent and stay connected with the tech industry through events and insights
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and engage senior leaders (up to EGM level)
  • Proven ability to source and headhunt senior leadership talent, including advanced market mapping and insight-led sourcing strategies
  • Sound knowledge of employment market trends, best-practice recruitment methodologies and the ability to translate these into meaningful business insights
  • Confidence working across diverse portfolios and adjusting quickly to changing priorities, teams and business needs
  • Strong reporting and analytical skills for preparing talent insights, updates and presentation
