About the opportunity

As Senior Safety Business Partner, Safety & Wellbeing, you’ll play a critical role in shaping a proactive safety leadership culture across Retail Brand and Marketing. This team is energised by purpose and committed to creating safer, healthier workplaces, and you’ll be a trusted partner guiding strategic, data-driven initiatives that have a lasting impact.
What you’ll deliver with us
Reporting to senior leadership and working closely with stakeholders across the business, you'll be accountable for delivering key outcomes that enhance safety culture and wellbeing performance. Success in this role means co-creating and executing a strategic Safety & Wellbeing Work Plan, localising enterprise policies, and embedding improvement initiatives that are fit for purpose.
You’ll also
- Diagnose and design tailored safety and wellbeing solutions based on data insights, risk assessments, and frontline engagement.
- Coach and empower leaders at all levels to role model safety leadership behaviours and embed a culture where safety and wellbeing are prioritised in every decision.
- You’ll deliver lead and influence safety and wellbeing solutions that enhance both physical and psychosocial safety, driving a culture where leaders and teams are empowered to prioritise holistic wellbeing in every decision.
- Monitor incident investigation quality, support enterprise escalation protocols, and contribute feedback to ensure policies are fit for the Retail Brand and Marketing environment.
- Share best practices and learnings across the Safety & Wellbeing community, lifting capability.
About you
You’re a proactive, collaborative leader who thrives in fast-paced, complex environments. A natural relationship builder, you’re comfortable challenging the status quo and influencing at all levels to drive meaningful safety and wellbeing outcomes. You take a practical, data-informed approach, with the ability to translate complex safety concepts into clear, actionable initiatives.
You’ll Also Need
- Extensive experience in a senior safety role within a large, multi-site organisation, with a track record of delivering strategic and operational safety initiatives.
- You’ll have a strong understanding of psychosocial safety risks and experience implementing initiatives that promote psychological wellbeing and resilience within the workplace.
- Proven ability to interpret and apply WHS legislation, policies, and procedures, particularly within complex operational or transport environments.
- Strong experience influencing and coaching senior leaders to drive behaviour change and embed safety leadership practices.
- Demonstrated success in leading change initiatives, preferably in safety or wellbeing, including across diverse teams and locations.
- Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Health & Safety, with additional business qualifications highly regarded.
