About the Division & Team

This role is within our strategic business insights and analytics team, which is within the freight services business unit that sits within our Parcels, Post & eCommerce division. This business unit is responsible for the Customer Value Proposition for freight services, product and pricing for freight products and services, eCommerce analytics and insights and product management. 

 

The Strategic Business Insights & Analytics Team within Freight Services, is responsible for 3 areas of accountability, each with a senior manager reporting to the Head of Strategic Business Insights & Analytics.


These 3 areas are:

    Applied Analytics & BI.

    Data Transformation & Solutions. 

    Strategy & Insights


This role is the senior manager position for the Strategy & Insights team. 


About the opportunity 

The senior manager for strategic and market insights is responsible for leading the development of strategies for freight products. With a team of 3 incredibly high performers reporting into you, you will be a key leader within our freight services group and in a high visibility role. 

What you’ll deliver with us 

Above all you will empower your team to carry on performing at a high level and to upskill where possible. You will provide them with the trust, authority and autonomy to perform well. 


You will advocate for the team to stakeholders across and beyond the freight services division and provide expert guidance to assist: strategic planning, addressing intricate challenges and adaptation to organisational changes. 

You’ll also be  

    Co-ordinating the new product strategy, including market sizing, modelling, research, competitor research and area research. 

    Providing thought leadership in the eCommerce market as it relates to our services and helping to create the Australai post Inside Australian Online Shopping Report. 

    Responsible for media and external enquiries relating to eCommerce. 

    Developing engaging business proposals. 

    Leading workshop discussions and delivering presentations to executives. 

    Leading and overseeing the sales and marketing collateral. 

    Leading external customer engagement, industry partners and presentations. 

    Supporting the delivery of business solutions. 


About you 

You will be an individual with some market knowledge and experience within the freight industry and demonstrated experience leading highly successful teams that operate at the pinnacle of their market sector. 


You’ll also need   

    Exceptional business and commercial acumen. 

    Experience developing product strategies. 

    Knowledge and comprehension of the eCommerce and/or Freight market. 

    Experience collaborating with multiple stakeholders in a complex organisation to achieve commercial outcomes.
