We're hiring for Senior Platform Engineer – AWS to lead the design, build, and implementation of Australia Post’s cloud platform solutions. In this role, you’ll apply software engineering best practice to deliver secure, scalable, well‑architected AWS platforms while acting as a subject matter expert to uplift capability across the engineering community. You’ll play a key role in shaping platform direction by taking endorsed architecture patterns and translating them into high quality solutions through hands‑on technical leadership in design, coding, and configuration.

You’ll also drive strategic technical discussions, guide teams on AWS best practice, and remediate platform vulnerabilities to strengthen security and resilience. This is a high‑impact role where your leadership will directly support business outcomes, uplift engineering standards, and help position Australia Post as an industry leader in AWS platform engineering. There is an on-call support component to this role

• Working at a senior level across the Engineering team, collaborating with architects, engineers, and customer experience experts
• Thought leadership and in depth experience implementing best practice automation on cloud, and DevOps engineering techniques, to design and implement secure, simple, and impactful solutions
• Software Engineering designer and implementer where you champion innovative coding solutions and take the teams around you on the journey of software development
• Expert in Cloud Platforms technologies, primarily AWS
