About the opportunity   

This role provides strategic partnering and advisory to multiple GM’s and their senior leadership team and collaborates across People and Culture to develop and deliver strategic initiatives reflective of the business needs. 

Open to those located in Melbourne or Sydney.

What you’ll deliver with us   

The role is responsible for driving and delivering both strategic and commercial outcomes aligned to the business strategy with a primary focus on organisational effectiveness, employee engagement, strategic workforce planning, talent management and diversity. 

You’ll also    

  • Build strong relationships and partner with the Support Unit/Corporate Centre General Manager’s and Leadership Teams to develop and deliver the People Plan that supports the successful implementation of the Post 26 Strategy 
  • Develop people and culture initiatives which run across multiple business units 
  • Partner with the leadership team(s) to strategically deliver the talent agenda 
  • Coaching, enabling and supporting senior leaders to drive the change and transformation required and ensure the business is performing and delivering the right outcomes through their people and engaging with the respective stakeholders (eg: Unions) 
  • Lifting leadership capability and culture to drive a high-performance culture and engagement including building capability, and importantly enhance our culture in line with the AP Way GPS 
  • Using people & culture technology and analytics to provide insights and action to support the improvement and delivery of business results 
  • Partnering with the Leadership Team to manage risks (e.g., safety, industrial relations, talent), in conjunction with experts from the People & Culture function   

About you   

Reporting into one of our Heads of People Partnering, you will join a professional and passionate P&C Partnering Team. This position will work with General Manager’s and leadership teams across the Support Units including the areas of People & Culture, Finance, Legal, Risk, Audit, Strategy, Community, Sustainability & Communications and we are looking for someone who has experience in influencing senior stakeholders and delivering in a transforming environment.  

You’ll also need    

  • Previous Experience building strong relationships, coaching and influencing Senior Stakeholders (General Managers) 
  • Proven track record leading organisational people and culture initiatives in large complex organisations 
  • The ability to build strong relationships across People and Culture to align business solutions to the People and Culture strategy. 
  • Outstanding interpersonal, coaching and listening skills with the ability to communicate well with all levels of the organisation
