About the opportunity

Payroll Operations at Australia Post is a dynamic and collaborative function, consisting of several teams including Payroll Services, HR & Payroll Administration, and Time & Attendance Support. These teams provide essential transactional and administrative services for over 35,000 employees across the organisation. This role involves providing technical support to Payroll Officers and managing the more complex payroll queries upholding a high level of customer service delivery. A strong focus on continuous improvement, quality assurance, compliance, and streamlining processes is key to your success in this role, as well as adapting to workload changes across the Payroll Operations teams when needed.

What you’ll deliver with us

You will deliver accurate, compliant, and timely payroll through processing, exception reports and ServiceNow, ensuring that HR and Payroll data is managed effectively within Australia Post's systems. Your role will also involve identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring that quality assurance and compliance standards are consistently met.

  • Identify areas for process improvement, streamline operations, and ensure compliance with relevant payroll legislation and Australia Post policies.

About you

You’re a customer-focused professional with experience in dynamic environments, adapting to varying demands while maintaining attention to detail. Skilled in problem-solving and trend analysis, you effectively communicate both in writing and verbally to support stakeholders and internal customers. With hands-on experience in SAP Payroll systems and Workforce Dimensions Time & Attendance, and utilising Standard Operating Procedures, policy and industrial agreements, you maintain accurate payroll processing. A Certificate IV in Payroll Administration is highly desirable, reflecting your commitment to excellence in payroll management.

You’ll also need

  • Experience with SAP Payroll systems is required and Workforce Dimensions Time & Attendance (highly desirable), alongside a solid understanding of medium to large organisational payroll systems, business rules, and employment conditions.
