Help us deliver a better tomorrow
Australia Post is delivering for all Australians. From the vehicles that we drive, to the small businesses that make our communities thrive. We’re delivering for the environment, for our communities, for our customers and for our people. We’re moving forward and we want you to come along for the ride.
About the opportunity
This is a rare chance to step into a senior leadership role where people, technology, and purpose come together. As our Senior Manager, People Systems, you’ll play a key role in shaping the systems that support the full employee experience at Australia Post.
You’ll provide leadership across planning, prioritisation, and delivery, ensuring that system enhancements and support activities are aligned to strategic priorities, compliance obligations, and user experience goals. You’ll merge big-picture thinking with day-to-day impact and drive real change across the organisation.
What you’ll deliver with us
As a key member of the People Systems leadership team, you’ll be responsible for uplifting delivery capability, and fostering a culture of collaboration, safety, and accountability. You’ll work alongside Product Owners, Enterprise Services, Centres of Expertise and other key teams to align priorities, build delivery momentum, and get the most out of our systems investments.
You’ll also:
- Lift delivery maturity by embedding program management disciplines and Agile ways of working, including quarterly, iteration and sprint planning and retrospectives
- Manage vendor relationships and service agreements to maximise value and performance
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement, focusing on user experience and process simplicity
- Collaborate closely with Enterprise Services on architecture, integration, and technical enhancements
- Lead inclusively by creating a safe, engaged and high-performing environment for your team
About you
You’re a people-first leader with a strong delivery mindset and proven success. You bring clarity and calm to complex challenges and have a knack for connecting strategy with action. You know how to navigate large organisations, influence stakeholders, drive vendor performance and make things happen – all while keeping people at the heart of your work.
You’ll also need:
- Experience in Human Resources, with deep knowledge of enterprise systems and vendor management
- Proven success leading complex programs and delivering value through Agile and program delivery frameworks
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence across business, tech, and vendors
- Commercially savvy with a strong grasp of procurement, vendor performance, and contract management
- A degree in HR, Business or a related field; certifications in Agile, program or vendor management are a bonus
How we’ll deliver for you
- Join one of the most culturally and linguistically diverse workforces in Australia, where we’re all ages, genders and come from all walks of life.
- We deliver on our values of Trust, Inclusivity, Empowerment and Safety every day. They’re the TIES that bind our team together.
- Immerse yourself in the AP Way – where every single team member partakes in a learning module to help understand the vital role we play in delivering on our strategy and purpose.
