About the opportunity

Reporting to the ‘Finance Manager, Sales’, you will help to improve the team’s ability to handle large data sets and improve the processes that use this data through smarter process design and automation. In particular, the annual sales target-setting process will be a focus.

 

What you’ll deliver with us

You will provide a critical conduit between various teams in finance and sales, playing a pivotal role in enabling the function to produce quality customer level financial forecasts. Finally, you will partner with the sales team on BAU finance activities throughout the year.

 

You’ll also   

  • Use best practice data analytics techniques to help shape large data sets in MS Excel and TM1, utilising TM1 (or GCP) tools as effectively as possible
  • Detailed documentation all processes involved in the current sales target setting process, utilising best practice documentation methodologies to identify process inefficiencies 
  • Work collaboratively across functions, particularly technical teams including Finance Systems and Sales Operations to shape data, design processes and reduce wastage
  • Use large data sets and analytical techniques to improve our ability to forecast financial performance at a customer segment and individual customer level
  • Help to drive a process and data focused culture across the team, share knowledge,  and coach other team members in finance to lift capabilities in data analysis and process design
  • Business partner with a segment area of the Sales team on all BAU activity, including sales targets, quarterly exceptions, cost models and general queries

 

About you  

  • Experience working with large data sets to inform business decision making.
  • Experience with process mapping and process documentation
  • A strong commercial mindset and understanding the effects of the data driven decisions. 
  • Experience with data warehousing and data visualisation software.
  • Experience in a large organisation with a matrix structure that requires working collaboratively with teams of finance and non-finance professionals
