About the opportunity
Reporting to the ‘Head of Finance - Retail, Brand & Marketing’, you are responsible for leading the preparation of effective in-depth Business Unit reporting, assisting with forecasting and planning requirements, as well as the improvement of processes and procedures within Retail, Brand & Marketing (RB&M) Finance team. This will include regular reporting requirements to various stakeholders across the business as well as ad-hoc reporting and data requests as required.
What you’ll deliver with us
The role requires good written and verbal communication, stakeholder management and organisational skills. It also requires a high degree of attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks; as well as guiding other team members in delivering insightful analysis for senior executives to make strategic decisions.
You’ll also
- Manage the Business Unit and associated group management reporting and planning requirements, ensuring a high attention to detail at all times
- Actively seek and implement continuous improvement in processes and ways of working, including playing a role in finance-wide changes to data and toolsets
- Working with stakeholders to measure and track appropriate KPIs through effective reporting, including forming an initial view of potential impacts on the financial forecast
- Provide reporting of financial and non-financial information to facilitate the analysis and insights in support of key strategic initiatives
- Working with key Business Partnering teams to lead the delivery of meaningful and consistent Business Unit reporting, and the completion of key month end upstream reporting activities
About you
- Demonstrated experience in planning and reporting function within a large, complex business
- Membership to an Accounting professional accreditation (CA/CPA)
- Experience with financial systems in a large organisation, including strong PC skills (particularly Microsoft Excel) and data extraction from TM1, SAP or other data analysis software/systems
- Strong financial, analytical, interpretive and problem-solving skills
