About the opportunity

The Group Sustainability Office acts as a centre of excellence to enhance the positive and reduce any negative social, environmental, and economic impacts of our operations.

Working closely with the 'Manager, Sustainability Performance & Reporting', you will help to ensure timely and accurate reporting and messaging. You will be responsible for supporting the design, execution, and monitoring of Australia Post’s internal and external sustainability reporting obligations, in line with the Enterprise Strategy and Australia Post’s Sustainability Roadmap 2025.

The Senior Advisor, of Reporting Systems and Assurance, will use effective engagement, and cross-functional leadership skills to drive improvement of Australia Post’s sustainability reporting, data management, and governance processes.

What you’ll deliver with us

  • Capturing monthly data, monitoring and analysis of sustainability metrics including Social Licence to operate, and corporate responsibility dashboard reporting
  • Capturing content for annual reporting and relevant forums internally and externally
  • Providing internal performance reporting to ensure commitments and targets are tracked and delivered upon
  • Supporting the generation of insights, and implementing actions to drive continuous improvement in systems of reporting, data quality and sustainability performance
  • Facilitating and supporting external assurance activities, including supporting the basis of preparation development and governance controls

About you

You are a sustainability reporting expert with a deep understanding of best practices and emerging trends. You can effectively project management programs across a diverse range of stakeholders and interests. You are process-oriented and have experience with external assurance requirements.

What are we looking for?

  • Technical understanding of sustainability and ability to translate clear/relevant and relatable language from data insights
  • Understanding of sustainability and compliance reporting, assurance, and interpretation of data
  • Strong Analytical skills with attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
  • Extensive experience in working with complex data sets using Microsoft Office Suite with advanced Excel skillset

How we’ll deliver for you

  • Join one of the most culturally and linguistically diverse workforces in Australia, where we’re all ages, genders and come from all walks of life
  • We deliver on our values of Trust, Inclusivity, Empowerment and Safety every day. They’re the TIES that bind our team together
  • Immerse yourself in the AP Way – where every single team member partakes in a learning module to help understand the vital role we play in delivering on our strategy and purpose
