Are you motivated by getting behind the wheel of one of our iconic trucks to deliver for customers? As one of our day shift Seasonal Casual Truck Drivers based in our Mile End Transport Facility, you’ll be the face of our trusted business, at the heart of your community and connecting businesses with their customers, and communities during our busiest time of the year. You’ll be on the road as a staple of your community, and it doesn’t get better than that!  


These casual opportunities will be based on staggered start dates between 9th September to 30th September with a range of start dates which will be discussed upon progression to initial phone interview to understand what suits you best. The shifts work Mon-Fri approximately 5 or more hours per shift on a rotational roster basis (as such full flexibility is required). Weekend shifts may be offered. These roles will be offered until January approximately and may be converted into a more permanent opportunity depending on business requirements.


The rate of pay is $35.67/hr inclusive of casual loading + an uplift of 15% for day shift and tonnage allowance is additional. Overtime rates apply for any overtime worked.
 

You’ll be 


  • Safely loading/unloading your truck with cages for delivery  
  • Completing your own daily vehicle safety check   
  • Driving our modern trucks between our operational centres and customers, for deliveries and pick-ups   
  • Returning to our operational centres to unload pick-ups  
     

About you


  • You’re available to work from September, through our peak period and have flexibility to work both day and night shifts
  • You hold a relevant HR license  
  • You’re safety-focused and understand the importance of chain of responsibility  
  • You have a customer-centric mindset and effective communication skills 
  • You’re fit enough to load and unload parcels of all different shapes, sizes and weights
  • You’re prepared to provide a driving history report, undergo an Australia Post specific pre-employment medical, drug/alcohol screening and national police checks.
