You’ll also need to
- Be available to work every weekday (Monday to Friday) through our peak period (now until approx. end January 2025). We can then review for any potential permanent opportunities.
- Hold a minimum MR truck license
- Be safety-focused and understand the importance of chain of responsibility
- Have a customer-centric mindset and effective communication skills
- Be fit enough to load and unload parcels of all different shapes, sizes and weights
- Be prepared to undergo an Australia Post specific pre-employment medical, drug/alcohol screening and national police checks.
- Manual transmission drivers advantageous
How we’ll deliver for you
- Work every day Monday - Friday
- 10am - 6.30pm (potential for additional hours once you are up to speed with deliveries eg. 8am starts)
- $39.08ph - $31.26ph (base rate) + $7.81ph (25% Causal loading)
- + 12% superannuation rate
- We may have opportunities for ongoing work beyond the peak season in a permanent capacity
- Great way to get your foot in the door for a potential permanent position after the Seasonal period
Role responsibilities
- Safely loading/unloading your truck with parcels for delivery
- Completing your own daily vehicle safety check
- Driving our MR trucks between our operational centres and customers, for deliveries and pick-ups
- Returning to our operational centres to unload pick-ups
