What you’ll deliver with us 
This role is a leadership position within the Technology – Corporate and Core organisation leading a team of 8. The SAP Retail and Network Operations Manager is accountable for the solution architecture, roadmap execution, operational leadership, stability, and continuous improvement of SAP solutions that support Australia Post’s retail and network operations business functions. The SAP Retail and Network Operations Manager plays a pivotal role in shaping and executing an SAP roadmap that leverages automation, data, and embedded AI capabilities to drive operational efficiency, resilience, and informed decision-making. This role ensures SAP enabled retail and network services are reliable, secure, and fit-for-purpose, enabling safe, efficient, and increasingly intelligent operations across Post Offices, distribution networks, and frontline operational teams. 
 
You’ll also   

• Provide leadership for SAP Retail and Network Operations to enable strong frontline and operational outcomes. 
• Set and uphold standards, service models, and governance for SAP solutions across Retail and Network functions. 
• Ensure SAP systems supporting Retail and Network operations remain reliable, resilient, and scalable. 
• Drive the transition from legacy SAP platforms to modern, cloud-aligned solutions while maintaining service continuity. 
• Ensure FTE allocation remains within approved BAU funding. 
• Lead and manage the SAP Retail and Network Operations team, including performance management, capability development, and knowledge sharing.
• Drive continuous improvement in SAP Retail and Network operating models, including automation, monitoring, and proactive incident management.
 
Who you’ll work with
Reporting directly into the Head of Technology SAP Engineering you will partner with Retail, Network Operations, Enterprise Architecture, Cyber Security, and Infrastructure teams. This role collaborates with Architecture and Delivery teams and build capability within SAP Engineering to support ongoing operational needs. There will be a need to communicate technical issues to non-technical stakeholders including Business Unit Service Engagement Managers and Process Owners. Externally the key stakeholders are Software Vendor Partners and Implementation Partners (Deloitte, Accenture, TCS). 
 
You’ll also need   

• Significant experience leading SAP-supported operations within enterprise environments. Previous experience as SAP Retail Architect is valuable.
• Proven experience implementing and supporting SAP solutions that enable Retail, Network, or operational business functions. 
• Strong understanding of SAP-enabled operational processes, including finance, logistics, retail execution, and customer-facing services (SAP retail logistics background preferred)
• Background with operating SAP solutions in high-availability, customer-facing, or mission-critical environments.
• Working knowledge of SAP solutions supporting Retail, Network, and operational processes.
• Proven leadership of multidisciplinary teams across internal and external resources.
