About the opportunity

Reporting to the Head of Real Estate Solutions, you will be accountable for the strategic leadership and stewardship of the regional property portfolio. Acting as custodian to ensure assets meet the operational needs of key stakeholders across retail and network operations. The role ensures the portfolio remains functional, compliant, fit for purpose and cost effective, while delivering long term value aligned to enterprise priorities. 

The portfolio comprises 523 sites across industrial, retail and commercial office, including both owned and leased assets.

What you’ll deliver with us

You’ll provide strong leadership, clear direction and effective communication within a complex operating environment. You’ll lead multiple projects and programs concurrently, influence outcomes across diverse stakeholder groups, and drive strategic delivery through disciplined portfolio management, continuous improvement, and a focus on sustainable, long‑term outcomes.

You’ll also  

• Influence and deliver the Property Strategy, ensuring efficient, timely and cost‑effective solutions for internal customers
• Negotiate directly with building owners or oversee broker-led negotiations to achieve optimal commercial outcomes
• Ensure all transactions align with the Property Strategy and contribute to long‑term business objectives
• Drive commerciality and cost control across leasing, facilities maintenance and project delivery
• Maintain effective budget tracking and reporting 
• Sustain tenant revenue and deliver lease target savings outcomes within Australia Post portfolio

What are we looking for?

• A Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Business, or any related discipline
• Demonstrated expertise in leasing, property management, project management and corporate real estate 
• Strong negotiation and portfolio management capability, delivering optimal lease and commercial outcomes 
• Sound understanding of stakeholder needs, with the ability to manage and deliver effective outcomes
• Proven ability to interpret property documentation and agreements, including leases and construction contracts, with a strong understanding of property planning frameworks and statutory requirements
• Experience working closely with external brokers, landlords and property owners to execute transactions
