About the opportunity
As the Product Manager – Passports & Photos, you’ll take the lead in shaping and driving the full product lifecycle, from strategy to execution. This is your chance to make a tangible impact—delivering outstanding customer experiences while achieving strong commercial outcomes. You’ll play a pivotal role in aligning product innovation with Australia Post’s broader strategic vision.
What you’ll deliver with us
Reporting to the Senior Portfolio Manager – Passports & Photos, you’ll collaborate across teams and with external partners to bring ideas to life. You’ll champion customer needs, build persuasive business cases for change, and apply a sharp commercial lens to product design and delivery.
By harnessing market intelligence, customer insights, and competitor analysis, you’ll shape data-driven strategies that fuel product growth and innovation. Your work will ensure our offerings remain relevant, responsive, and customer-first in a dynamic market.
You’ll also
- Develop & execute strategic and tactical product plans to support the successful delivery, launch and ongoing management of new and existing products (BAU), aligned with customer needs and business objectives.
- Manage the deployment of product initiatives and campaigns.
- Oversee and influence the quality of operational product management activities including, issue management, business rules, policy maintenance and supporting service standards.
- Quantify market and product opportunities through strong segment and channel analysis. Apply a commercial lens to product development ensuring all products and enhancements are financially viable, operationally feasible and deliver measurable value to the business and customers.
About you
You bring proven experience in product development, promotions, and end-to-end product lifecycle management. You’re a highly motivated self-starter who approaches your work with energy and purpose. Resilient and composed, you maintain a professional presence even when engaging with challenging stakeholders.
You thrive in dynamic environments, embracing change with a growth mindset and adapting seamlessly to evolving product scopes and priorities. Your critical thinking skills enable you to break down complex problems, distil the key elements, and clearly articulate a path forward. You’re thoughtful, solutions-focused, and confident in navigating ambiguity.
You’ll also need
- Product design, development and implementation (B2G/B2B and/or B2C).
- Product planning including knowledge of industry, market trends and competitive landscape.
- Strong track record in developing and implementing strategies, plans and major work programs.
- Working knowledge of technical, legislative, contractual and compliance obligations affecting both product portfolio and the market
- Interpreting complex market analysis, research and feedback relating to product initiatives and performance
