Help us deliver a better tomorrow
Australia Post is delivering for all Australians. From the vehicles that we drive, to the small businesses that make our communities thrive. We’re delivering for the environment, for our communities, for our customers and for our people. We’re moving forward and we want you to come along for the ride.
About the opportunity
At Australia Post, the Parcel Product team is on a mission to "connect people and businesses through innovative, reliable, and sustainable freight solutions." As part of our bold vision to "set the standard for an exceptional and sustainable delivery experience that delights our customers, no matter where or when," we aim to deliver products and solutions that seamlessly align customer expectations with operational and technological excellence.
The Feasibility Lead is a cornerstone of this vision, operating as the Delivery & Solutions Director – Feasibility to ensure that every idea, product, or initiative is not only desirable but also technically and operationally achievable. This senior role provides overarching support to all squads across the Product team—including B2B, B2C, C2C, OOH, and The Lab—setting the standard for feasibility as a craft and discipline.
What you’ll deliver with us
The Feasibility Lead asks critical questions and seeks appropriate data to arrive at answers about the operational, technological, and process readiness of Australia Post, so as to assist the Lead PMs with their prioritising of the work pipeline and strategic narrative defining efforts. They also foster deep relationships across the organisation with diverse teams such as technology, GTM, network operations, retail network, call centre operations and other adjacent teams to develop a feasibility perspective. Some of the questions they seek to obtain data to answer are as follows,
• Is the technology needed to power this solution within reach? If not within reach in the near future, is there a quick solution that solves for the 80%? What does a week 1 hypothesis look like?
• Do existing organisational processes support this idea, or do new processes need to be developed?
• Can our current or near-future operational capabilities within the network deliver on this concept?
• Do we have the marketing and branding firepower required to drive adoption, and if not, what do we need to mobilise?
• Are our GTM teams equipped to take this solution to customers effectively?
• Does this initiative align with compliance and regulatory requirements?
• How do we ensure scalability and resilience in the solution across different customer segments and geographies?
As the custodian of the feasibility lens, this role combines deep strategic foresight with technical expertise, working across disciplines to assess and enhance the feasibility of initiatives. The Feasibility Lead collaborates closely with Lead Product Managers, Product Managers, SMEs, engineering, operations, marketing, and GTM teams to foster a cohesive approach to designing achievable solutions.
By shaping feasibility as a core pillar of the DVF (desirability, feasibility, viability) framework, this role ensures that the Product team operates with clarity and alignment, delivering innovative yet practical solutions that can be implemented seamlessly within Australia Post’s capabilities.
