About the opportunity  

As Print & Packaging Consultant, your purpose is to strategically manage and optimise various aspects of product purchasing and packaging within Australia Post. The role involves driving innovation and efficiency by implementing new technologies and methodologies, consolidating orders to leverage cost advantages, and identifying opportunities for digitisation and automation.

The position plays a crucial role in product development, ensuring technical support, compliance with data and barcode standards, and executing anti-counterfeiting programs. Additionally, it involves overseeing the end-to-end project management of print and packaging production, maintaining a consistent brand application throughout the process, and driving savings through product rationalization.


What you’ll deliver with us  

  • Provide technical support in product development and review.  Assist in the technical aspects of product development to ensure that products meet quality and technical standards.
  • Optimise order quantities based on demand patterns and ordering cycles, utilise networks and partnerships for efficient procurement.
  • Ensure compliance with data and barcode standards to maintain accuracy and consistency in labelling and tracking.
  • Identify, propose and facilitate digitisation and automation opportunities to improve overall efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
  • Ensure consistent branding throughout the production process to align brand application with production requirements.
  • Develop packaging products in line with APCO standards to drive the sustainability for our products.
     

About you  

We are looking someone with experience in print management and product development processes. You will have strong communication skills, able to build and maintain solid relationships with internal and external stakeholders. This role will suit someone who is highly organised with demonstrated ability to problem solve and adapt to changing priorities.


You’ll also need   

  • Cert III in Graphic Arts
  • Experience in optimising procurement processes, managing suppliers, and leveraging cost advantages through bulk purchasing.
  • Demonstrated ability to oversee end-to-end project management of print and packaging production.
  • Track record of identifying and implementing innovative technologies and automation solutions
  • Familiarity with data and barcode standards, ensuring products meet compliance requirements
