About the opportunity
This position is part of the Payroll Operations team, which encompasses various sub-teams such as Payroll Services, HR & Payroll Administration, and Time & Attendance Support. The Payroll Officers primary focus will be on managing HR and Payroll master data for Australia Post Group's payroll systems. You will be responsible for processing payroll transactions and addressing any exceptions, ensuring compliance with legislation and Australia Post policies. As part of a collaborative environment, you'll engage in team meetings and workshops, contributing to ongoing process improvements while supporting the Payroll Services team.
What you’ll deliver with us
In this role, you'll be responsible for accurately managing payroll data, ensuring the timely and correct processing of payroll transactions for over 35,000 employees. You'll work to maintain compliance with relevant legislation and internal policies and play an active part in ensuring data integrity within agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Additionally, your contributions will help streamline operations and improve processes, working closely with other internal teams to enhance the overall payroll experience. Your flexibility to support various Payroll Operations teams during peak workloads will also be key to success.
You’ll also
- Process end-to-end payroll transactions for Australia Post Group Enterprise Agreement employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with agreed SLAs and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Manage payroll-related queries through ServiceNow, demonstrating strong customer service and effective communication skills.
- Adapt to dynamic work demands and collaborate with team members to resolve issues, leveraging problem-solving abilities and experience with payroll systems (SAP experience preferred).
About you
You are a detail-oriented and proactive individual with experience in customer service and working in dynamic environments. With a solid understanding of payroll systems (preferably SAP), you excel at managing tasks efficiently, adhering to deadlines, and ensuring data accuracy. Your ability to collaborate, communicate effectively, and adapt to various demands makes you a strong team player focused on continuous improvement.
You’ll also need
- Experience processing payroll transactions and working with HR/payroll systems, with a preference for knowledge of SAP.
- Ability to resolve payroll-related queries and communicate effectively with both internal teams and stakeholders.
- focus on accuracy, prioritising tasks, and working under deadlines while maintaining high-quality results.
