Description & Requirements

Australia Post is delivering for all Australians. From the vehicles that we drive, to the small businesses that make our communities thrive. We’re delivering for the environment, for our communities, for our customers and for our people. We’re moving forward and we want you to come along for the ride.

Join the movement

Looking for a job that keeps you active, connects you with your community, and sets you up for real career growth? Australia Post is calling on the next generation to help us deliver like never before.

As a Parcel Sorting Officer, you’ll work in our Mail & Parcel Processing Centre as part of a tight-knit team making sure our customers’ parcels get where they need to go - fast. It’s hands-on, physical work that keeps you moving and makes a real difference every day.

We work around the clock to meet our customers’ needs - so we’re looking for future team members interested in working night shifts at any of the below times:

  • 8pm-3:51am - Monday to Friday
  • 10pm-5:51am - Monday to Friday

What you’ll be doing

  • Sorting and processing letters, parcels, and Express Post items so our automated equipment can get them exactly where they need to go
  • Loading and unloading mail bags, trays, containers and metal cages (Unit Loading Devices)
  • Operating pallet jacks and other shifting equipment to keep things moving
  • Keeping yourself and those around you safe and well

What you bring

  • You’re physically fit and ready to lift up to 16kg repeatedly
  • You’ve got a sharp eye for detail and a great memory
  • You’re flexible with hours and love being part of a team
  • Experience with pallet jacks, stackers or a forklift? Awesome - but not essential

How we’ll deliver for you

  • 12% superannuation + shift penalties where applicable
  • Career pathways with one of Australia’s most trusted brands
  • Post Perks – rewards, recognition, and wellbeing support
  • A workplace where you can be yourself and feel like you belong
  • Be part of a team that values trust, inclusivity, empowerment, and safety

What's Next?

We want to make sure this role is the right fit for you — and that you feel confident stepping into it. That’s why we’ll be sharing more information with you to provide a clear picture of the job and what it’s like to work with us. If you progress, you’ll also be invited to attend engagement centres in late June, where you’ll meet our team, learn more about the role, and show us how you would bring to life our TIES values, helping us deliver to our customers in a supportive, hands-on environment.

Ready to Get Moving?

If you’re looking for more than just a job, if you want to build a future career, stay active, and be part of a team that delivers for millions in our community - this is your moment.
