Help us deliver a better tomorrow
Australia Post is delivering for all Australians. From the vehicles that we drive, to the small businesses that make our communities thrive. We’re delivering for the environment, for our communities, for our customers and for our people. We’re moving forward and we want you to come along for the ride.
About the opportunity
We are revolutionising Australians’ experience of eCommerce and changing the face of Australia for the better. As new Parcel Lockers pop up all over the country, alive with the buzz of eCommerce customers picking up their latest purchase. Part of this Parcel collection revolution is the identification and partnering with businesses to host our new Parcel Lockers.
As we grow our parcel locker footprint by hundreds every month across the country, we are looking to hire an elite team of sales professionals to work autonomously to identify and partner with businesses that can be locker hosts. With ambitious growth targets to build over 10,000 parcel lockers in the next 4 years this role will be essential to building and maintaining our momentum.
What you’ll deliver with us
In this role you will have the opportunity to sell the concept of hosting a parcel locker across small and medium businesses in pre-defined areas. You will be able to articulate to them the benefits of increasing foot traffic from parcel locker placements, visibility in their local community and increased delivery security; for no installation, maintenance or staffing costs.
In this role, you will identify suitable locations and pitch the locker solution to the small & medium business owners on the ground. You’ll shepherd the deal through the entire sales funnel to signing stage, aligning all internal and external stakeholders through a well defined and documented process.
You’ll also
- Identify, map and qualify high-potential small business sites suitable for locker placement. Ensuring all proposed sites align with our brand standards.
- Maintain a continually refreshed pipeline of prospects, aligned to priority, geography and customer demand
- Assess site viability, including foot traffic, accessibility, safety, power supply, compliance and proximity to other lockers.
- Monitor competitor placement activity.
- Provide insights to improve locker distribution strategy, incentive frameworks and local council planning updates.
- Prepare and present site assessment summaries to internal stakeholders.
- Use social media, online tools, local groups and any other available forums to build desirability and momentum to install parcel lockers.
About you
You will be a tenacious sales professional who is able to operate at multiple levels, empathise with business owners and liaise with c-suite executives. You will be able to work autonomously to deliver sales outcomes and also to strive through road blocks and to align a complex stakeholder environment towards the overarching objective.
You’ll also need
- Experience face to face selling solutions to small and medium businesses.
- Proven experience in cold calling, prospecting and closing deals with cold business.
- A capacity to resolve problems and issues, to work with prospective customers to overcome objections.
How we’ll deliver for you
- If you’re interested in the future of eCommerce, this could be the role of your career. You will change the face of the high street, support Australian brick and mortar businesses and support the growth of eCommerce all in one fell swoop.
- You will be at the cutting edge of our organisation, ‘on the ground’ as we roll out a huge number of parcel lockers
- Join a business that promotes successful people, when you succeed in this role you can look forward to fruitful career opportunities after, with over 50% of our senior roles filled with internal candidates
- An opportunity to sell a great product for one of the biggest and most trusted brands in the country
- Excellent benefits and PostPerks
