About the opportunity

Reporting to the Head of Building Maintenance & Compliance, you will work in close collaboration with the Group Property peers and our outsourced service provider. You also have the responsibility and accountability for operational and strategic planning, development, implementation, and ongoing management of building maintenance and compliance projects.

 

These projects are to support the management of Australia Post Group’s national leased and self-owned property portfolio. You will ensure that operational projects within the building maintenance and compliance section of Group Property are delivered in a safe, cost-effective manner, under budget, and within designated timelines whilst achieving and maintaining all minimum compliance standards as per relevant local, state, and national legislation.
 
What you’ll deliver with us

  • Managing programs such as Parcel Lockers, Vending Machines, My Handy Services & Parcel Hubs to maximise utilisation and continuum of business continuity developing plans for future and current state
  • Ensuring that deliverable services follow the necessary governance and delivery frameworks, and comply with the framework of relevant legislation and Australian standards
  • Developing policies and procedures associated with building maintenance and compliance programs
  • Ensuring effective resource management is undertaken so that all programs of work are resourced with the required expertise and effective business change management is undertaken
  • Escalating emerging risks to program services and ensuring collaboration of any required parties lead to successful outcomes and issues and risk mitigation


About you

  • Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Building Construction, Engineering, or Building Asset Management
  • At least 5 years experience in Minor Works project management or related function  
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and engagement skills
  • Strong Environmental knowledge to drive effective and efficient sustainable programs
  • Experience in computer-based applications e.g. Cougar, MS Excel, MS Access, and presentation software
