Description & Requirements

Help us deliver like never before
Australia Post is delivering like never before. From the vehicles that we drive, to the small businesses that make our communities thrive. We’re delivering for the environment, for our communities, for our customers and our people. We’re moving forward and we want you to come along for the ride.

About the opportunity
As a Network Planning Analyst within Network Planning, you will play a key role in shaping the design and development of our network. Using your expertise in logistics, data analysis, and planning, you will support site-based strategies, catchment planning, and network investment decisions.

Working closely with the Manager of Network Design & Planning, you will contribute to scenario development, provide analytical insights for the Network Operations Capital Plan, and help translate complex network concepts into clear recommendations.

This role also involves preparing documentation, analysis, and presentations, as well as supporting governance processes and forums.

What you’ll deliver with us

In this role, you will provide key analytical and planning support to help shape the future of our network. You will use data-driven insights to inform strategic decisions, align network and property planning, and support the successful delivery of network initiatives.

You will:

  • Analyse and model network demand, site capacity, and operational scenarios to support long-term planning and investment decisions.
  • Contribute to capital planning and business case development through robust data analysis and documentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align network operations, property planning, and project delivery with strategic priorities.
  • Prepare clear and actionable analysis, presentations, and governance documentation to support decision-making and stakeholder engagement.

About you

You are a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of supply chain and network planning principles, particularly in logistics and postal environments.

You have experience turning complex data into clear insights, communicating effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, and supporting long-term planning and property considerations.

You are confident using digital tools to analyse, present, and document information, and you are eager to apply your expertise to help shape network design and delivery.

You also have:

  • Demonstrated experience in long-term planning involving real estate, logistics, or network operations.
  • Ability to build strong relationships and collaborate across diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices, emerging technologies, and property trends relevant to network planning.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, with experience in analytical and spatial tools desirable.
