About the opportunity
The National Retail Network Partnerships Manager plays a pivotal role in the performance, consistency and sustainability of Australia Post’s Licensed Post Office Network and Community Postal Agencies. By fostering strong relationships, championing operational excellence, and driving continuous improvement, this role is instrumental in shaping the long-term success of the Retail Network.
What you’ll deliver with us

- Overseeing the selection and onboarding of new Licensees and Agents through a nationally consistent framework, with comprehensive training delivered in collaboration with the Retail Capability & Performance team.
- Managing the administration and application of Agreements (franchise and agency) within the channel, supporting General Managers and Territory Managers in achieving revenue, expenditure, and profitability targets.
- Providing oversight and support of Network planning for non-corporate Retail Outlets, including Licensed Post Offices, Community Postal Agencies, Community Mail Agencies and Post Points, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Identifying trends and patterns across the Retail Partner Network, analysing root causes, and partnering with Retail Operations leaders to proactively identify and deliver strategies to enhance performance and mitigate risks.
About you
We are looking for someone with proven ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders, forging strong relationships that drive business success. With an in-depth understanding of the Franchisee Code of Conduct, you bring a commitment to upholding regulatory standards and fostering compliance. You thrive in dynamic environments, demonstrating resilience, strategic thinking, and a results-oriented mindset that inspires those around you. You enjoy leading a team to implement nationally consistent frameworks and new initiatives.
You’ll also need
- Proven experience in ensuring adherence to legal, regulatory, and organisational standards, with a demonstrated ability to identify risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.
- Hands-on experience managing the selection, onboarding, training, performance monitoring, and termination of franchisees, agents, or other network partners within a Nationally consistent framework
- High level analytical and business planning skills
- Advanced decision-making skills in a franchised network environment
- Experience handling complex and sensitive disputes with franchisees or external stakeholders, using diplomacy and effective communication to achieve fair and constructive resolutions
