As an important pillar within our Out of Home (OOH) initiative, The OOH Locations Manager plays a critical role in organisting the teams that will be responsible for identifying, analyzing, and securing the right locations for OOH solutions, such as parcel lockers, to ensure accessibility and optimize operational effectiveness. As such, this individual plays a pivotal role to help us deliver seamless, customer-centric OOH solutions.

The Out of Home (OOH) initiative is a key enabler of this strategy, and is transforming the way parcels are collected and returned by introducing innovative delivery solutions such as parcel lockers, hubs, and other diverse self-service options.
What you’ll deliver with us
This role combines strategic thinking, data-driven decision-making, knowledge of how data driven location models are constructed and stakeholder collaboration, to build a robust network of OOH locations, that are continually maintained and optimised, utilising the power of advanced analytics and AI. By leveraging advanced analytics, AI, ML, market intelligence, real estate and vendor negotiation expertise, the Locations Manager will identify high-impact sites and negotiate partnerships to drive customer adoption and satisfaction. This role also oversees the strategic placement, optimisation and scaling of the OOH network, ensuring alignment with customer needs, operational capabilities, and Australia Post’s broader strategic goals.
The Locations Manager will act as a bridge between internal teams (Product, Operations, Marketing) and external partners (landowners, councils, and developers), ensuring that all locations meet both customer expectations and operational requirements.
The role requires a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and program management skills to design and maintain a location intelligence model that supports the long-term vision for OOH services. By championing innovation and collaboration, the Locations Manager will ensure Australia Post continues to lead in delivering sustainable, accessible, and future-focused OOH delivery solutions.
You’ll
• Develop and execute a comprehensive location strategy for the OOH Collect & Return network, aligned with customer behaviour insights, operational needs, and strategic goals.
• Establish and maintain a scalable framework for evaluating and prioritizing location opportunities, balancing customer desirability, feasibility, and viability.
• Lead the development of market intelligence capabilities to inform location strategies, leveraging demographic data, customer journey insights, and competitor analysis.
• Work closely with Product Managers, Engineering, and Operations teams to ensure OOH location decisions align with technical and operational capabilities.
• Ensure all site acquisitions and operations comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including accessibility and zoning requirements.
• Identify and mitigate risks associated with site acquisition, installation, and maintenance.
About you
You will have experience bringing a product management lens to location strategy ideally within a retail or technology driven industries.
You’ll also need
- Proven success in managing complex, high impact location acquisition projects across urban, regional and remote areas. Navigating through complex regulatory environments.
- Demonstrated experience in geospatial analysis, market research and data-driven decision-making for the site selection process.
- Extensive experience negotiating with external stakeholders including landowners, councils and commercial real estate agents.
