Description & Requirements

About the opportunity and our B2B marketing team

This role is at the heart of how Australia Post connects with its business customers. As a B2B Lifecycle Automation Specialist within the Parcels, Post & eCommerce division, you’ll be instrumental in designing and delivering intelligent, data-driven marketing automation strategies that drive onboarding, engagement, retention, and growth.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Marketing & Sales Enablement, you’ll collaborate across digital, product, sales, customer success, and the broader B2B marketing team—bringing lifecycle strategies to life and shaping a customer experience that’s seamless, scalable, and future-ready.

This Melbourne-based role offers a collaborative, high-performing team environment during a pivotal period of transformation and growth.

What you’ll deliver with us

As a Lifecycle Automation Specialist, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping and executing Australia Post’s B2B lifecycle and engagement strategy—crafting orchestrated, personalised journeys that deliver measurable impact across every stage of the customer experience.

You’ll join a high-performing team that brings marketing initiatives to life through intelligent, multi-channel automation. Using a sophisticated martech ecosystem—including Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Data Cloud, Adobe Experience Manager, Adobe Target, and Seismic—you’ll design and activate dynamic, data-led experiences that not only meet customers where they are, but anticipate their evolving needs.

With a digital-first, innovation-led mindset, you’ll simplify complexity, champion agile marketing practices, and lead initiatives that enhance onboarding, deepen engagement, boost retention, and accelerate growth—supporting Australia Post’s transformation into the freight provider of choice for eCommerce in Australia.

In this role you will deliver:

  • Marketing Automation Leadership: Drive adoption and optimisation of automation tools and workflows to deliver efficient, measurable campaigns with minimal complexity.
  • Digital-First, Data-Driven Execution: Embed digital-first thinking across lifecycle programs, using insights and martech platforms (SFMC, Data Cloud, Adobe, Seismic) to deliver personalised, scalable experiences.
  • Customer-Centric Journey Design: Shape B2B lifecycle strategy by mapping customer needs and designing value-driven communication journeys informed by CRM and research.
  • 1:1 Communication Strategy: Lead execution of personalised campaigns, ensuring timely, relevant messaging across email, web and other channels.
  • Performance Optimisation & Sales Enablement: Analyse lifecycle performance, apply test-and-learn approaches, and support Seismic platform optimisation to empower sales teams with impactful content.

About you

You’re a modern, digital-first marketer with a passion for customer-centric innovation and a proven ability to turn data into action. You thrive in fast-paced environments where automation, personalisation, and performance intersect—and you bring a strategic lens to every campaign.

You’re confident working across martech platforms like Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Seismic, Adobe, and Data Cloud, and you know how to unlock their full potential to design innovative, seamless, and scalable customer journeys that deliver measurable impact.

You’re a natural collaborator, able to translate complex business needs into elegant, automated solutions. With a test-and-learn mindset, you continuously optimise communications and experiences to drive engagement, retention, and growth.

You’ll also need:

  • Hands-on experience with B2B martech platforms including Salesforce CRM, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Salesforce Data Cloud, Adobe AEM, Adobe Target, and Seismic.
  • Strong data literacy—from data retrieval and cleaning to visualisation and storytelling.
  • A collaborative mindset and proven ability to work across matrixed, multi-team environments at scale.
  • Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills, with a knack for lateral thinking and data-driven decision-making.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and visual communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly and influence cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
