About the opportunity
In this role, based in Melbourne, you will take accountability for a portfolio of our intermediary customers. You will have a portfolio totalling around $20-$60 million per annum, and a mix of 10-30 customers from within the freight industry to manage. You will be out in front of customers most of the time, visiting them face to face and working with them as a trusted advisor as their key last mile contact.
What you’ll deliver with us
In this role you will be creating customer centric account plans, focusing on the strategic imperatives of customers. You will be establishing, building and growing key relationships with customers, including monthly commercial and operations meetings, quarterly business reviews and other activities to align to strategic opportunity. You will drive portfolio growth through the retention of existing business and grow our share of products and services, there may also be a chance to drive new business.
Every day you’ll be
- Developing and implementing customer centric strategic account plans, putting activity in place and sticking to the plan to maximise revenue growth within accounts.
- Building a robust pipeline of opportunities within customers.
- Manage account relationships leading regularly planned sales calls with customers, and working through and solving any systemic issues with customers.
- Engaging customers on key retention activities through the full lifecycle of customer contracts. Engaging other business units and new business teams to assist with service, sales, solution design and implementation.
- Document all sales and account management activity accurately in Salesforce.
- Disseminate thought leadership to customers, attend events and become an industry leader.
About you
You will have a deep understanding of the freight services industry and be credible with customers that you see, you’ll have the ability to steer conversations towards commercial goals. But you’ll also recognise the need for a high level of service for our intermediary customers and be responsive to their needs.
You’ll also need
Experience implementing account management strategies for a portfolio of large business customers.
Strong experience selling complex supply chain solutions.
A strong understanding of solutions, products and services and new technology offerings in the space.
