Help us deliver like never before

We’re looking for an Identity Assurance Specialist to join our diverse, talented and innovative digital technology team who together are helping our customers and communities build a better future. Together, we design, build and maintain products, services and experiences that Australian's love and trust, while delivering a sustainable future for Australia Post, and you could be part of that.

We're empowered to deliver for our teams and to delight our customers. We provide an inclusive and supportive environment that nurtures talented people, trusts our teams to deliver their best, and leverages modern work practices and technologies. It's an unexpectedly dynamic and collaborative culture that feels more like a start-up than a 213-year old icon.

What you’ll deliver with us

The Identity Assurance Specialist supports the Identity and Access Management (IAM) function by regularly testing the defined IAM key controls, identifying gaps and necessary remediation activities, and driving continuous improvement in the application of identity controls within the enterprise. This specialist is responsible for supporting the review and assurance of Identity-related controls within the broader Cybersecurity Controls Assurance Framework. It plays a dual-support function across both the Identity team and the Cyber Assurance team, ensuring that key identity controls are not only implemented but also tested and validated for effectiveness in mitigating cyber risks.

This role collaborates with the application and technology teams across the organisation to form a comprehensive view of how IAM controls are implemented. It provides advisory services to educate teams on the applicable controls for their applications or systems. Additionally, this role represents the IAM team during internal and external audit activities.

You’ll also

  • Conduct controls testing in accordance with the Controls Assurance Framework
  • Provide subject matter expertise (SME) to advise and educate teams on the implementation of IAM controls for applications or systems
  • Support teams in furnishing audit evidence and assistance, ensuring ongoing compliance with key regulatory requirements
  • Promote continuous improvement in the application of identity controls.
  • Provide support and training to end user’s and dependent technology teams
  • Ensure alignment and support across Cyber Services teams
  • Provide necessary evidence to internal and external audit teams when needed

About you
We are seeking a collaborative individual who can manage diverse stakeholder expectations and influence outcomes. Internally you will be working with business and technology stakeholders to evaluate and advise on the implementation of appropriate IAM controls on their assets. You will utilise your strong communication skills to influence teams outside of your direct control.

You’ll also need

  • Experience working in IAM or Cyber Assurance including controls testing and remediation planning
  • Comprehensive understanding of IAM principles and disciplines, including identity data sourcing, lifecycle management, role management, and user access governance
  • Demonstrable understanding of the IAM domain, its core practices and updated technical knowledge of emerging IAM trends
  • Consulting experience, including interactions with business stakeholders is advantageous
  • Experience with key industry standards (including Essential 8, ISO27001, PCI-DSS and CPG 234)
  • Understanding of Active Directory (AD), Entra ID, Auth0 and SailPoint is highly regarded
  • Ability to work with SaaS solution providers
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platforms or equivalent major cloud platforms and Azure AD cloud environments is beneficial but not critical

How we’ll deliver for you

  • We invest in you for the long-term, encouraging growth through delivering on our values of trust, inclusivity, empowerment, and safety. We will help you develop your skills and steer along a career path that works for you
  • Be part of a culture where everybody feels they belong, are valued, and can bring their authentic self to work every day
  • We invest in your personal wellbeing, recognise, and reward you for your contribution to our success with Post Perks and more
